Our Maple butter Tarts are made with 100% whole grain Red Fife flour. They contain butter, maple syrup, molasses and brown sugar and a touch of vinegar and sea salt. The pastry contains eggs and butter. These tiny two-biters have a ton of flavor and are small enough to be a guilt-free indulgence.
This exclusively Canadian treat seems to have been first enjoyed as early as the 1600's when new arrivals to the country added new world ingredients to their tarts. They are history in a bite
